Cross-posting as I originally posted in the wrong forum, as this relates to 2018 LC

Think I have the answers now, which are yes and yes, but always worth checking with LC owners too.

Hi all,

Looking to get a 2nd pair of wheels for my 2018 1200GS to run off-road tyres and I have a few questions:

Are wheels from all LC years compatible? I've found various 2nd hand ones (eBay and MotoWorks) but none have the exact same part numbers that BMW are quoting me for my VIN.
Assuming I get the correct wheels, if I want to be able to swap them over, will I need anything other than the following: ABS ring and brake discs for front + specific mounting bolts for rear

Thanks

Difference in part number will more likely be down to the colour of the paint finish or difference in supplier, if you have tpms you will need a set of sensors as well

What is I'm happy for the TPMS to complain while riding the other set? Presumably, I'll just get a warning that the sensors can't be found, which will go away once the original wheels with TPMS are back on.

If you change the wheels one at a time and ride the bike for around 10 miles it will pair, then put the other one in and do the same. I was sceptical when told this would work.........but it did on my 2017 GSA.

Same here...worked perfect. Replaced the rear one with a Chinese copy off fleabay .

If you ride in enduro mode only triangle should show I think as it turns of tpms as it expects low trye pressure for off-roading, read it somewhere
