The BMW Nav V is really quite expensive as far as I'm concerned, and I don't need one for most of the time.

However I do a few trips a year into Europe, is there an alternative people are using that fits in the TE standard BMW mount, or is it best just to bolt another one one?

Any advice would be much appreciated. BTW I'd guess the thumb wheel wouldn't work, but I don't ride with a Bluetooth headset so no big integration issues.

Cheers,

Phooey.

The Nav IV occasionally pops up on second-hand sites at decent prices; that's what I'm using and the thumbwheel works fine for scrolling between pages and zooming in/out.

Garmin 660.

You should be able to haggle 10 -15% discount at a dealer though if you want a Nav V.

Plus BMW are now doing that 0% offer over 2 yrs over £750 accessory value, which may assist you.

The 660 is not great its slow and the screen is not visable in bright sunlight a good smart phone is better :rob
