A ride report and a guide to Scotland. Sort of.

Heated waist coat, best thing by far I have purchased for biking! These cold Spring/Autum days are a thing of the past. Had one for years now. Mrs loves hers! Great when you stop for coffee etc, no longer need layers of clothing removed when relaxing! Did use it once in (gone now) her mini roadster, top down in sunny winters day, braw fun.

I use the gerbing stuff , not Mibbies bang up to the minute stuff ,but it is VERY effective :thumb2:thumb2

Opened this blog for a quick look and found you were in my home village of Achiltibuie! Hope you enjoyed it there, great roads.

... and reading more, you didn't stay in that house at Reiff did you?? I built that house!

Afmuir

We stayed in the big fancy house that overlooks parliament hill. It's got a games room oot the back. I've been going up to Achiltibuie for most of my life. I've got to know a few faces up there. You might have seen me about the place.

We stayed at the Muir's place, Rose Cottage (the shambles) plenty of times, I use the campsite beside the Fuaran a fair bit too. A couple of year back I took the pushbike up and we stayed at the Old Schoolhouse. I made this video, you migh recognise some of the scenery.

So the house at Reiff sounds like the house we call 'Botts', after the lady who had it, think it's her neice has it now. Parliament House which is the roof you see and nestled below the hill was mine, had it built in 2000. Rose Cottage is my aunt Aileen's, married to my late uncle Jim. My dad stays in the house above it as you go into Polbain. Small world eh!
