Just thought I’d post a wee write up (after some time) on a trip to Scotland in the First weekend in June. I went with a couple of Friends who I go with regularly……..but this time both had brought Ducati’s instead of their usual mounts!!

Met Just outside the Ferry Terminal…..Nearly all the containers in the port were from China!!

Met Mr Alte Wolf on his way to Gairloch then off for an audience with the king of Oonyakistan.

Headed up to get Ferry No2 from Gourock to Dunoon.

The Navy were out playing in their nuclear RV.

No real stops until we got to sunny Dornie. But it was a nice run up through Oban and Fort William …….and an even better one from Invergary to the Kyle…….Bye Bye Ducati’s!!

Sunny Dornie.

Had tea outside the Dornie Hotel and this wee chap was awaiting scraps.

Up Bright and early before the run North. Pretty much Blue Sky’s

Just thought I’d photograph this lonely wee tree on the sand spit in Loch Alsh.

On the Way to Torridon on the run North.

Stopped at Badachro for a spot of lunch. Well worth a diversion.

The view from the Decking toward Gairloch.

Went on via Gairloch Poolewe and Dundonell to Ullapool and spotted Alte Wolf and H.R.H Oonyak heading south.

Turned off the main road North to Ledmore to take the back road past Stac Pollaidh and on to Lochinver. Some snaps of the bikes

I was wondering if any 916 variants had ever been on this road……..especially when it descended into a track of foot deep gravel were it had recently been resurfaced.

No More stops until Kylesku bridge when action shots were requested. The Ducati’s sounded great coming over the bridge.

Went via Glenshee, Braemar Blairgowrie, Aberfeldy and eventually onto Killin.
Went past quite a few of these!

The Falls of Dochart was more of a trickle. They hadn’t seen rain for six weeks by the 8th of June……hasn’t stopped raining since though.

On the final day we meandered down toward Stranrear and did a bit of exploring round the Rhins of Galloway. I often bypass this area but it is worth a visit. Afternoon tea was has at the Corsewall Light hotel at the Northern tip of the Rhins

_MG_5465_edited-1.jpg

Then tea in Sunny Portpatrick before heading over on the Ferry.

The trip was about 1300miles in the Four Days and the Ducati’s never missed a beat!

Unfortunately it was not a bugs life J

sounds a great trip,Ducati's look awsome sound amazing,a bit sore on the little roads? superb photos.

Cracking report and pics there as usual Marcus. :thumb2

Didn't you try to tempt the Ducati's onto the Dukes Pass for a wee play? :green gri

Great shots Marcus, how did you make Mcveigh look almost slender:D

By the way, that's not Alt, the real Alt dosen't have a beard.

Cracking photos, particularly liked the Ducati,s coming off the Bridge. (shades of Rocket Ron,s style with the 996). And the Night shots of E.D. Castle, superb. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Really enjoyed that, great photos :thumb
Looking forward to going up there in early September, hope my weathers as good as yours.
