A sad farewell...

Well I'd say my triple black 1200GSA is 19% better than my mint 1150GSA (it's not an SE so must be shite) and the LC GSA I demo'd was precisely 18.7% better than my brand new 3 months ago TB.
Which makes an SE 1150 a dog?!?!?!?
Good on you Nick nowt as wondrous as picking up a new bike and shite to anyone who tries to do a man down for sharing his Opinion on a Forum.

to have criticised you putting down other peoples machinery to 'big up' your new one.

Where the fek did he do that?? I can't be arsed to read the whole thread. But all I can see is he said the new one was better. Well that's a surprise isn't it? Why would you buy one you thought worse? He never said the old one was rubbish. Gordon Bennett.

They may not be for everyone , but its a feckin good bike .Makes my T Max seem like a C90:thumby: Nick enjoy your bike .Flip enjoy yours .:comfort

Ta, gents! Much appreciated. :thumb
Must say, the biggest problem so far has been trying to keep the speed down. I think I've said before that my outgoing bikes weren't slow. But I spend a lot of time on the N1 / N3 / N12 ring road, and it's becoming very hard not to ride it like a GSX-R 750. All the time.
Had a great scrap with a guy on a Speed Triple 1050 this afternoon. :D

Robbo: what are your thoughts on the T-Max? What year model is yours?
I was at a Yamaha dealer yesterday. They had four new 2014 T-Maxes on the floor which I had a chance to look over, and I was quite impressed. Didn't have enough time to test-ride one, though I'd like to at some point.

I didn't.
But for someone who has nothing to say, the dude does seem to have an awful lot to talk about.

The 1150 is the best GS ever, :thumby: bah, bah :blagblah. FFS, that shit was old ten years ago. Every other GS is shit, I don't feel connected. Bah, bah, bah :blagblah. What a pile of shit. :barf Ride a bloody Horse then. :D

Congrads on your new Bike Nick. I lust after a new WC1200. :thumb

Sincerely

Rick

I've got a 2009 Mk 2 T max , had Mk 1's 2'2 and 3's . Not tried the new Mk 4 but they are all very capable and usable . Great for town work , handling is very close to a motorcycle twist and go up to 100mph . I bought my Mk 2 as a very low mileage bike , 4000 miles only and it is as good as new . It 's a bike I use for work , everyday rain or shine ,though since I bought the GSA I use it less ! Try one , I think you'll be impressed . They are really popular in Europe , the UK has yet to "Get" them . France has a Race series with T Max's and there are loads of tuning bits if tou want to make it faster . For me an Akro is all it needs :D

I've thought for a long time that 'maxi-scooters' are the way to go re. affordable transport - particularly in town. Then Suzuki raised the game with the Burgmann 400 and showed that scooters don't HAVE to be just for in-town work.
Personally, I have a soft spot for all the big scoots. :) I take a lot of flak from fellow bikers here for asserting that scooter pilots are motorcyclists as well.

My next test-ride of a BMW will almost certainly be the C600 Sport or C650GT. But truth be told, the T-Max has both trumped on price.

You say the UK never got the T-Max as an official import? That's weird - I'd think that they'd be a great seller there.

Sorry i meant "Get" as in understand them , we've had them since 2001 . I had a C600 for 4 months and it wasn't for me . Few teething problems . T Max is THE Maxi to go for :thumby:
