A sad story

My Mate Wullie the "Coalman" went on holiday with his wife and kid doon tae Dumfries last week.
Every day he took the dug in the wagon with him.
While he was away his maw was looking after his dug.
She let the dug oot late at night and there was a flash of lightning and a rumble of thunder which spooked the dog and it ran away.

Later that night the boy that was covering his coal run, saw a dog on the road but didn't recognise it and the dug knowing the lorry followed it.

Poor wee Jess went under the wheels whilst following the lorry to Wullies hoose unbeknown to the driver. Wee Jess was found dead the next day close to the lorry
