A small Muff mod

Users will understand why ........

1/ With a red hot skewer or small drill make a hole through outer skin and the furry liner

2/ Take one bootlace or similar, insert bight and loop over bar end 'twixt weight and grip

3/ Adjust toggle as required

Great idea.

Plus the tassles effect really finishes the muff look off nicely.

PS: Would 2 holes close together reverse the tassle look or do you think the lace may interfere with controls?

I find my muff applies a constant pressure to the GSA (Hexhead) fog light switch

I have the Tucano Urbano 319 muffs, but they easily get pushed forwards which is annoying. if I were buying again id go for the R323 that allow the bar end weights to clamp them on. Might give this mod a go, though i don't like making holes in waterproof gear.

I fit my muffs over the hand guards and have drilled the guards so thaht` I can put one small bolt thriugh the guard to locate the muff with a washer to spread the load. Did this originally on the 1150GS, it works really well.

It's easy enough to stick a bolt through any muff into the bar end - the issue however is that it then becomes difficult to manoeuvre the bike from alongside, especially if there is a tank bag involved

I agree but decided that having the muff sliding about and restricting the switches whilst I was riding was on balance less satisfactory than making th ebike a bit more awkward to manhandle in or out of the garage.

Looks like the Tucano Urbano R323 muffs with bar end fixing have been discontinued, unless they now have a different product code?
