......as you do.... then up early, Ange has gone to work.

Give your shed another coat of green stuff
................ she told me:rolleyes:

It took an age trying to get that 'green stuff' off the washing up bowl and surroundings after cleaning the brush, eventually I gave up and dragged the bike out ....... she's gone up north and won't be home anytime soon:bounce1

I fancy there'll be a cool breeze up on the hills so take in a few overgrown lanes on the way ...... slightly mindful it wouldn't be a good place to come a cropper.

Time to start heading up

And up
P1010123-XL.jpg

There's a breeze but by 'eck it's hot.

Onward, planning to stop in the dip by the stream, take a swig of coke and roll a smoke.

Arriving at the stream it was even hotter with no breeze:mad:

I came here once in really wet conditions and saw an Otter, no sign of one today though ........ perhaps because it was 'otter:aidan

The stony ride to the top is a favourite of mine but it's been smoothed out very slightly

Anyway, I'm soaked in sweat, there's quite a strong wind blowing and for a moment I was blissfully chilly after taking my jacket off.

The sun won through and it's time to break out my gourmet lunch.

After contemplating the world and my place in it ...... well, not really, just rolled a smoke or two and enjoyed the place.

Must be time for a 'selfie' as us youngsters say.

Dropping down the other side to the sleepers, dry today but many a rider's come to grief here.

It can be quite entertaining watching a rider go down when they're slippy, they tend to slide along at quite a pace with the occasional raised sleeper inflicting pain on the way:D

I resist a pint at the pub in Llanarmon DC.
Why?
Fuck knows, it was an error of judgement:blast

This lane's a right beaut, I well remember my mate Gareth breaking his leg badly as we practiced for the Cambrian Rally early on here.
Just go's to show, he'd have been stuffed by himself ....there's no phone signal here.

Dropping down to the first 'improved' field and the smell of hay was sweet as honey.

Great lane but treat with disrespect for maximum fun at your own risk:likeit

Alt yr Badi's in poor shape so take the tarmac down to Llangollen

Quick stop off at the Ponda where all the road bikes gather, it all looks relatively tedious so crack on for a few more lanes finishing up here ...... for another ahem, selfie:rolleyes:

Back home in plenty of time ;) ..... well it's been hard work doing that shed, think I deserve a beer:beerjug:

Nice pics.

I simply rode my SE to the beach today for a swim (me,not the bike)

Far too hot to stop every mile to take a photo !:comfort

I even made the terrible decision to wear shorts with my mesh jacket.Think I may have pissed off the GSed tosser in full reflective twat suit with matching reflective lid and more hi viz shit on his panniers than I've ever seen on a cop bike. He's probably still at the lights now,as he couldn't filter with all that crap attached to his bike !
:thumby:

I'm disappointed that you did not include a pic of the re-painted shed :D

Looks like a good day's skiving

Awsome pics Tim and thanks for taking us along. :thumb

Though, your two pics do NOT qualify as selfie's :) Technically, for it to be a selfie, you have to be holding your camera :) ... pics in front of a camera on a tripod do not qualify :P

Ah...of course I knew that:augie:D .... but wanted to spare you any close ups:eek

Fantastic pics, I have just moved back to North Wales after 25 years in Australia, I had forgotten what a stunningly beautiful part of the world it is. I took my Aussie family to Llangollen on monday and over the Aquaduct.

Ah another Sneaky trip away Tim. Very often the best days out. Nobody to please but yourself. Good weather and fine views. Now where's me work diary, could do with a day out on the bike:bounce1:thumby:

When it's the wife's time of the month, and goes to work before me, I'll have a sneaky solo.:D
