Before leaving early for work Ange, as if psychic, says to me this morning don't get riding that GS to the coast just to see the waves the forecast's bad and it's too dangerous.
I wait until 10am just in case she comes home.
The internet tells me High Tide in Barmouth is 11.40......two hours later, after battling gale force winds, torrential rain and riding through a flooded road it's time for a piss.
So, find some shelter, then just as I'm rolling a smoke with the last dregs of baccy a gust of wind blows it away, I should quit anyway.
The harbour road's flooded and closed to numpties like me, I try coming at it from the other side but the sea rolls in over the road and surrounds me, I make a quick exit to take a photo further back.
Much safer here
Further along the prom the road's closed
A detour through the housing estate brings me to the locals viewing spot
It's hailing now .... oh joy.
