A thought for all those who have stated they would never buy a bike I have owned!

Over the last several years, many have stated they would never buy anything I have previously owned, principally because I do not subscribe to the policy of keeping BMW workshops busy. My servicing policy consists of regular oil & filter changes, and bugger all else. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Well, here's and alternative buy!

Went to Westport for a few days this week.
On Thursday last, went to Old Head beach.
Tide was fully out. Then I saw it! An idiot! Reversed his Volvo with boat on trailer down the slipway, across the sand, and into the water.
Sand was level, so he kept reversing.
Water up to top of wheelarches, and still the boat would not float.
At this point, he decided to abandon ship, and tried to go forward.
Front wheels spun.
Oh Dear me, Oh Deary me!
Out through window of car, leaving family inside, and collared a man with a Range Rover.
Long length of rope purloined off a nearby boat, and Bob's your Aunt!
Drove car up slipway. Note the water pouring out of the doors.
He opened the back door and a deluge poured out.

Then he spotted me taking photos.

He came over to me.

Hiya Prof! he shouted.

Hanley from Claremorris!

In 2005, we went round Spain, Pyrenees and France on Bikes.
It's a small World.
