From the basin, we can follow the what is now an ornamental canal, through Wapping Woods and past Tobacco Dock on our right, to near enough home. You can still see evidence of the former dock and its connecting canal, in the stone walls and mooring posts left behind:










These last pictures are all located on what was the London Dock, which was filled in and redeveloped in the 1980’s. I have taken a picture of a framed map I have and a Google map of today. You can see how the oblong shape of the London Dock is filled by the redevelopment:
