I was in the generating station before, was quite impressed, considering I didn't even know it existed beforehand!

Maybe too late to catch some of you guys but Turlough visit sounds the dogs numpties and would love the chance to get the bike on a longer run, haven't had a chance since I got it in April, although my arse might not thank me for it. But anyway if I'm lucky enough to catch Aiden or Trev that I see heading down on Saturday and you don't mind nursing another "slow" 12, I'm up for it, just let me know where you'll be, bearing in mind I'm coming from Newtownards. I was thinking somewhere along the A1 towards Newry wouldn't be very complicated for me as until I either buy a new GPS or manage to waterproof the car unit, signposts are doing it for me, cheers anyway.

Meeting the Norn Iron boys at Bewleys (just off M1 / M50 Roundabout) at 1.15 if anyone wants to join from this side of the City.
Plan to be down before 3.00 so depending on what time we get through M50 southbound traffic we can decide whether to take the quicker N81 or scenic route through the Gap..

Showers forecast...

special domestic responsibilities took over and i couldn't make turlough hill today, hope it didn't ruin ye're day too much :augie

i was looking forward to it because i spent 16 years in ringsend power station and some of my colleagues of the day transferred to turlough hill when ringsend closed down. i took a compleeeeeeeeeetly different direction at the time. i was never happy in the "board".

anyway i flashed ye (from the cage) at about 17:30 in blessington. padge up front (i think) followed by aidan and then two 12gs's one yellow. was it ye? hope ye enjoyed the tour and was gutted i couldn't get out today. i won't even make the brekkie run tomorrow morning. but can't wait for jocksers's and daithi's boreen run next weekend.

if there's anyone interested in coming along on the boreen ye're welcome even at this late stage. if you're not a member of the pipe & slippers club you might be asked to sign a disclaimer and you'll have to organise your own b&b but you CAN partake in the run.

Yeah that was us.... The Norn Iron possee are still en route, but we had a good run from Tallaght through Sallygap to Laragh and up to the power station.
Bit of resurfacing work going on for the last few miles heading into laragh, but the weather was good on the way so all seemed happy..
We picked up a French couple on the way (Aidan with his pidgeon French... TrevMcdev with his real french) and brought them along for the spin.

Didn't get any photies myself, but some of the other boys got some..

Thanks for the invite for the Boreen run.. But Daithi and Jockser will tell you how I feel about Boreens..

Big thanks to George & Flash and all the guys involved in the Turlough visit, sorry to those whose names evade me just now but back in my house at 8.15pm after 307 mile run and I thought it was worth it. I hope you made a few quid today for another very worthwhile cause.

Big thanks to Aiden and Trev for nursing me down there and to Padge for the exhilerating jaunts through the traffic (local knowledge is a wonderful thing)and scenic cruise through the gap, first for me and a must to do at a slower pace camera in hand this time.

Can't wait for the next and my arse is not as numb as I thought it would have been, cheers guys.

Yeah a great run out. Hopefully a good amount was raised from the tour which was made even better as we were allowed to ride the bikes down the access tunnel :D

First, but hopefully not last, trip around them there hills! Cheers Padge, top job :thumb2

And a big thank you to the Big Ballix, Mandylicious and the dogs for putting up with me for the evening :thumb .

Cheers folks :thumb2
