A wee magazine issue.....

Having recently moved hoose, my collection of motorcycle and car magazines is now taking up valuable space in my new workshop instead of being out of sight and out of mind in a lockup. There must be getting for 38 years worth in this wee pile - probably about 2,500 magazines in total.

It seems like a shame just to bin them as, in time, they'll be some kind of historic record of motorcycling and motoring in both the USA and Britain from the 70's to date. I went to the Ace Cafe last year and talked to Mark Wilsmore the owner since we have a mutual friend and he said he'd love to have them but he'd struggle to find somewhere to put them and then there's the small matter of getting them to London.

So who'd like to open a wee library here in Scotland.....

I had, ooh, three six foot, at least, piles of motorcycle mags from the late 40's to early 60's a few years ago. Had to move and could not keep them , they have probably wiped a few arses since.
Wish I had them now.

Ah yes . . I had to bin loads of "The Motorcycle" & "Motorcycle Sport" back in 1972 when I moved from Somerset to a top flat in Edinburgh .

I don't learn though, I've now got piles of bound editions of "Motorcycle Sport & Leisure", "Two Wheels Only" & "Classic Bike guide" in the loft (and stacked in the bedroom).

Then there's "Land Rover Owner" . . .

Will I ever look at them again ???? Probably not .

No thanks, I don't want any more (fascinating though they would be).

For the ones which include extensive road tests or comparisons - advertise each one (in separate listings )on Ebay for £2.50 each, plus postage.

The ones which compare 4 superbikes or 4 supersports, are always popular with folk who want to see how the bike they already own - compares.

They seem to sell okay.

Agreed, but even if you only got a quid each then that's still a free holiday

Unfortunately Bauer Media (MCN, Ride, Bike) want £33+vat and Adventure Bike Rider £32 for 6 issues.
