What's with all the blue sky and sunshine ?
I should have been with you guys.
The alarm went off at 04:30 and I was on the road at 05:30.
Met up with the Northern Section of the BMW Club at Forton Services on the M6 at 09:00 and we did a 120 mile tour of Lancashire (with a bit of Cumbria thrown in). We finished up at Tony Cartmel's house in Blackpool for lunch at around 14:30.
Left Blackpool at 16:00 and got home at 19:30 having stopped for tea at Tebay Servces.
544 miles on the 'K' - and wet and windy most of the way - the M74 was more like power-boating that riding ! I was glad I was on the 300 kilo 'brick' - it doesn't move around in the wind much.
I have the usual pictures of Old Farts standing around bikes in car parks but I won't hi-jack Ronno's thread (too much).
Now drying my kit ready for a "Tour of the Castles of Northumberland" next weekend (BMW Club North-East Section).
Glad to hear that you all enjoyed the Glen Clova run - its a pity the dates clashed as I'm sorry I missed it.
I must get the GS back together tomorrow (I must . . I must . . I must).
Bob.
