briliant roads rm ...................

been over them many times and well bitten by the midges at the kilt rock. You have missed the best one tho' my lad (fingering nose) a bit to the north and my favourite spot.
Cheers for that, Eilean a' Cheo is beautiful in any weather, dinna' listen tae that Oonyack chappy.

Something different about yir bike ?:nenau
Got as far as my garage today, fitted covers to the terminals on the new battery. Daughter No1 was hounding me to take her for a shot on the Wii that I bought for the pub, so went over for a few hours. :blast She beat me.
Good to see Wully and Fruitcake out for a wee spin n aw :thumb2

GC .. Ive got something different on mine though ???

I headed into deepest perthshire to find small roads to nowhere. Found several.
Nice day for it, but too many people wandering about with sticks and anoraks.
Time was, the only person you would bump into was Tom Weir !! Whats happened to folk. Are they fed up with shopping malls or something.

Well, I joined 10 other :rob's from the BMWC at Inverurie.
Nice day for the run, at least it was reasonably warm. Forfar via Cairn-o-Mount then horrors! a diversion at Strachan. That took me almost to Aboyne (didn't have my GPS with me) then on to the A93 to Banchory, then via Raemoir, Echt, Dunecht, Kintore to Inverurie.
As usual the grub at the Hopeville was excellent and cheap too, as was the chat with the :rob's, and not a pipe or slippers to be seen!!
Came home via Banchory, Durris (pic of sunset near Durris), Stonehaven and a gentle cruise at 80'ish down the A90 to home. The run back was a tad cooler than the run up, but not too bad.
Only 150 odd miles, so just a short run, but I enjoyed it.

Where did YOU go?

Where did YOU go?

I think I saw you going through Dunecht, must have been on your way back as it was betwen 3 and 4pm. Were you on your Yellow charger wearing a 600 Watt blue BMW suit by any chance - could see the glare before you passed.:augie

The Road is closed at the bridge of Feugh in Banchory and I have been tempted to go through to see why it is closed but the barrier is "Gazza Proof". You will have been diverted round past the Potarch Hotel which serves lovelly food and a good place for a meet. Its where the Grampian Classic Motorcycle cluib meet for their annual ride over the Cairn'o'mount.

Have Fun

AndyT:cool:

PS. I can ee Durris mast from my house...... just thought I would let everyone know.

Bob.

The one event I do attend every year is the VMCC Scottish Assembly of Vintage Motorcycles, held at Coupars Sports Ground, Blairgowrie. I usually ride round with Derek Horne, who enters his immaculate R90S and has won something for the past 6 years with it. He'd sell it to me, but he wants too much for it. This year, the event is on Saturday 15th August.

Ron,

The VMCC Blairgowrie event is very good - but I missed it last year. Hopefully I'll be there this year.

Derek Horne . . That will be "Delboy" (or was, before he sold his GS :blast). Here he is adjusting his rear shock on the "Hands Across The Wa' " run last year:

Derek was at the Scottish Classic Mc Club meeting at St. Fillans on 2nd Sept last year - on a very nice Honda RC30 (there were two of them there :thumb).

He was telling me about his R90S - I was very envious as I really fancy one (in Daytona Orange, of course). There is one in Kirkliston, but I haven't manager to wangle an invitation to see it yet.

I believe this is Derek's RC30 on the left of the picture:

Another couple of shots of the 'other one'. These are Classic bikes :bow

Robmack: Sorry about the hi-jack.

Ah yes . . Here's mine in Morocco:

(apolgies for continuing the hi-jack :o)

That's a seriously tidy bike there, Bob (with the bestest panniers, too :thumb2)

Bob

This is Derek's R90S. It's totally original and unrestored. Must be about the best in the country. He'll sell it to you for 6k.
