Yesterday, after eight and a half years, I said goodbye to my Lovely 100PD.


Got up this morning to find it was pissing down

The garage now has a sizeable space in it after the PD departed yesterday

Lurking in the loft is a motley collection of parts

looks like the ideal time to use some of those parts up. After much sweating and cursing the frame is now in the garage and I have a home for a 70+ bhp Moorespeed engine that's been sitting around for a while

The Plan is to build a stripped down, lightweight roadster. I'll let you know how it gets on.

No updates for over 12 hours now; has the build stalled?:)
 
Rob, how many will this bring the count of rebuilt airheads up to? :D Good luck with it, sure it will be ace :thumb2

I'm still tracking bits down.

So far I've found:-
A pair of unused koni dial a rides
32:11 final drive

I've a full wiring harness, San Jose fork brace and shorty mudguard. I've an unused rear hub laced to a deep rim borrani rim and a front wire hub. Hopefully I'll only need to buy a few bits but we'll see as it takes shape. The sub frames either going or is going to get seriously chopped about.
 
I cant imagine that Mrs Farmer will be unhappy that, finally, you are clearing out the loft a bit.

I can imagine however that Mrs Farmer will be distinctly unchuffed that you are using her Christmas Turkey roasting tin as a drip tray.

Looking forward the the build updates as it progresses....
 
Mrs farmer is a karate 1st Dan and is dangerously good with her bow and arrow. It's best to keep a low profile about missing kitchen utensils I've found :D
 
I can see one major problem with this "project"............ you now have space in your loft and will feel a need to fill it.
 
If there was much swearing and cursing getting the stuff from the loft to the garage, what was the air like getting them into the loft in the first place.

Looking forward to seeing this project progress.

Starting at the top:-
800cc small port heads converted to a 1000cc, ported and flowed. Inlet valves are bigger by a few mm
Moorespeed one piece valves in colisbro guides. Titanium valve caps on American springs.
Moorespeed high comp "long skirt" pistons in replated barrels.
Balanced crank, rods and flywheel.
Rebuilt bottom end with 324 fast road cam.
Breaths through a pair of 38mm dellorto carbs.

im bound to have missed something
