Was on my way to the ferry on Friday when a bunch of bikes overtook me. On the arse of the last bike was a black Audi. I assumed this was part of the group.
5 miles up the road and the lead R1 is in a lay-by with the black Audi lit up like a Christmas tree with blue lights....

That,s my patch!
Eejits , for speeding on the A75 or visitors to the area that don't know about the polis enforcement on that road

It's a frustrating road, like the A1: Mainly single carriageway, trucks limited to 40, people trying to get to the ferry terminals...rich pickings.

I always give it plenty of time wherever possible.

The 75 is a pig of a road and badly needs upgraded it's appalling that it's a main route to ferry ports, I avoid it as much as possible

I heard three bikers were pulled on the A75 t'other day, took some catching. Average speeds well over 100mph

They deserve all they'll get :rob

It is pushing your luck, not public road stuff. Someone was half a second from killing me this morning, doesn't take much

We happened upon the aftermath of that crash on Saturday afternoon Kenny and were diverted off the main road and in through the village of Carsluith. Saw the Range Rover in the field but didn't realise that there was a bike involved too. Very sad.

I travel the 75 at least four times a week and it's true to say that some of the driving on it is atrocious. There again, the state of the road surface in places is a feckin disgrace.

Dissnae help,

I was on a "Scottish Classic MC Club" run on Sunday and someone said a member had been killed on his Ducati, no-one knew who it was. I guess it could have been this unfortunate fellah.

It doesn't help that my name is Robert Murphy (), I hope no-one sends condolences to my wife.

Take care out there.

Bob.

Yes but Scots all get "free" prescriptions, "free" university education, "free" bus passes. You expect well maintained roads as well? :augie

The guy who died on the Ducati Paso was Dr Robbie Murphy from Kirkinner. A very nice bloke who will be greatly missed in this area.
