A BIKER killed in a fireball crash in the west Highlands has been named by police.
Robert Morrison, 48, from Dundee, died at the scene of the accident, involving his bike and a car, just north of the Glencoe Ski Centre, on the A82, which runs from Inverness to Glasgow via Fort William.

Both vehicles caught fire in the smash on Saturday at around 11am.

Fire crews from Kinlochleven and Fort William attended.

Two people in the car were taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William with minor injuries.

A report is being submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Mr Morrison is the fourth person to died on the notorious A82 this year.

The road was closed for five hours while police investigated the accident
