Went for a wee run with some of the mates, of the non GS fraternity,

heading south from Inverness towards Fort Augustus, Came across some Road Works with "Loose Chippings"

Similar (but worse) scenario happened a few years ago near the Rest and be Thankful. The roadmen hadn't put in the correct hardener for the tarry stuff and the Cooncil had to pay out a fortune for new tyres.

Bearing in mind it wasn't just car tyres, but truck and bus ones as well...

The tyres were replaced without question, new for old. I've been looking for wet tar ever since!

thank god they waited till later in the week . Wis up and doon that road several times in the first half .
