I have just "lost" all my pictures from the last 12 mths. They have mysteriously vanished from all my i-photo albums.

Every album is empty but, and this only happens once, when I try to open an album the little graphic near the bottom tells me how many photos in the album ie "109 Photos" bu then swiftly counts down to zero and is replaced by " No photos". Although it may say 109 at first no photos ever appear and as I open each album in turn they zero to " No photos".

I have used finder and adobe photoshop to look at the albums without using i-photo and they are all empty, even before it does the countdown thing.
The pictures are not in the trash and I dont know where they have gone.

I was going to check my available disk space to see if a load of memory has suddenly been freed up but I cant find out how to check , no info' in "help" or in my "Little Mac OS X book".

ANY IDEAS??????

Hopefully just a glitch with iPhoto. Have look down through the file structure to your "Users" folder - can you still see the original image files in amongst the iPhoto folder like the image below? If not, I would also try a search for the images under File>Find (for example, all my image files start with "DSC....."). If you find the images it would seem that iPhoto just can't see them.
Alternatively, try posting a question here:

Fortunately.......

PLEASE tell me you have them backed up...

Mike:eek

Fortunately my stateside exploits are all on CD already. Even the last 3 full cards I brought back with me I took to a photoshop and had them put on disc before loading them onto the Mac. So they are all "safe"albeit back in their raw form with no editing/cropping.

All my other pictures seem to be "lost" so thats a year's worth of photos/memories.

Thanks for the 2 constructive replies......i'll try them next.

Cheers.
