A happy end to this story would be nice. Owner reads the forum or someone tells him all about it. He then thanks all the people for their positive contributions while politely choosing to ignore the negative comments, and then rides off into the sunset literally or metaphorically. Wonder if this will happen? Would be nice to think it doesnt end up as baked bean cans.

I dont know if anyone looking at this thread has done this yet but most folk here frequent other forums too. So, as we know the registration number, maybe a posts on other forums by those that use them with details and a link to here, may help remind the owner of his bike that he'd better make arrangements to avoid it coming to an unfortunate end.

It is possible that in Italy it is perfectly legal to load someone elses motorcycle onto a trailer without their permission and take it to the UK.
