Hi all, was looking at getting an Abba skylift as I have 2 bikes, but when I put the 2024 1250 details I for the RS it says it is not compatible, yet it can lift the 1250GS. Has anyone got a Skylift and use with there 1250? Or do I just get the GS mounts for the Skylift. Just a bit baffled as I thought RS and GS were pretty much the same bar forks setup.

I would ring or email the company, when I've had dealings before they were really helpful.

Does anyone use one or have a pic of a 1200/1250 0n one?

In theory it should fit, but as above from @BillWright best contact them and ask if you can use the GS adapter if there'snot one specifically foe rge RS?

I had one for a short while for my 1250GS but sold it on here as it was mostly used to move the GS around my garage but I found the Motea dolly was better for doing that (and a lot cheaper). The part of the frame the adapter fits into will probably be lower than on a GS because of the 17" wheels on the RS so that would need checking it will work on the RS?

Sorry...I read 1300 RS...oops

Hi,I bought a Skylift for my 2016 1200rs and found IMG_0005.jpegIMG_0002.jpegit wouldn’t go low enough to be able to attach it to the bike.
The answer was use a rear wheel paddock stand to raise the bike higher and then it worked fine.
This may be the reason it says it not compatible.

Good looking bike you got there fella, best colour too.

Originally the Skylift was briefly advertised as Compatible for the 1200RS so I ordered the mounting kit and Skylift for the R/S.
When I realised the problem of the R/S being too low I contacted Abbastands and they told me that they had been made aware of the problem and THEY recommended using the rear paddock stand and they refunded me £40 toward the cost as they thought the GS and R/S were the same.
I am not sure if the mounts are the same but it does seen as if they are.IMG_3488.jpeg
These are the mount I used, the spigot size is 12mm diameter x 7.5mm long.
I hope this helps.👍
