Anyone know, can this work with an earlier BMW r1200gsa from 2011 if you take the exhaust can off?

Anyone used one??

These work and are very good, a bit pricey but you might pick up a second hand one.....

I e-mailed abba ( not the group :D) about this last year, No was the short and blunt answer

This may be of interest. Upshot is yes it seems with a bit of creativity re the adjusting strap.

Brilliant, so from the other post it’s easy enough you simply phone them and they will supply the correct swing arm adapters even though they don’t advertise. Strange one as it looks to lif the bike fine so think I will give one a shot.

To be honest you can probably pick up a Bike ramp /bike lifting table for that sort of price !!!

And I recommend a ramp over one of those things anytime!! You can leave tools and parts sitting beside what you were doing when the Missus calls you for tea or whatever

*However If the ramp has extending side legs ?? Extend them!! and fit the front wheel chock too!

Seen too many bikes that needed picked up because the users were worried they would trip over the 4 or 5 inches that stuck out

I personally use a ramp for the reasons stated above. Fine if you have the room, if not the Abba stand thing is an alternative.

Personally I use a hydraulic lift table...it suits most bikes. If the bike hasn't got a centre stand, you can use a paddock stand or the front wheel chock which I'm not over keen on as you still have both wheel in contact with the table surface.
