ABR Festival - who’s going then?

Or is it this sort with a slippery slope ?

After a few sherbets, them tiles would make you feel delusional and sick as a dog I recon 😂

I’d like to go with my T5 camper van, leaving my GSA here in the garage. I’m sure I would enjoy it but like with all things, time is always the problem. I have shedloads of jobs to catch up with plus a dinner date on Saturday evening with friends from Finland I haven’t seen in years.

If you are going, have fun. :thumb2

They aren’t
Without getting fixated on the toilet facilities , they actually advertise the fact that the toilets are "posh". The last time I went, (to the ABR, not to the loo) I don't remember it being a problem.

They’re full blocks with proper toilets in.
Ok, the flush is chemical into tanks but thats because they aren’t permanent

Last time I went in 2022, got up for a pee at 3am ish to find staff busy cleaning the toilet and shower blocks. They were cleaning 24 hrs per day to prevent the usual muddy showers and no paper bogs! Great work

Explain please..

It’s just not my cup of tea.
Crammed in with 1000s of Brit bikers, queueing for overpriced burgers and going to listen to some bloke who’s on YouTube to try get some inspiration to venture further than Costa .
At least it should be biker friendly .

You've been? If you have you have a very different view of it to me and 1000's of returnees (4th time me).
I seldom see a queue for burgers or much else, except for the bike demo rides of course.
Where else can you do and see the things you can do and see there?
As for the "some bloke on Youtube thing" well, the talks go way beyond that and as a matter of fact our very own Sgt. Bilco (Chris, Unchained Tours) will be onstage describing his many tours to Alaska the Dalton Highway and beyond which, in 2016 i joined him on and, guess what, he's not on Youtube ;)

Anyway, each to their own, we're not all the same.

I'm assuming the demo rides will all be booked by the time I get there on Friday
Rides are booked on the morning of each day. At least that's the way it was when i went last year.

You need to get up early and I'm not so keen on that. Fortunately I never wanted to do any of the demos :)

Thanks, good to know. The only bike I wouldn’t mind trying is the Kove 450, but probably better I don’t as it will only make me realise what an elephant of a bike I’m riding at the moment 😄.

if your here come say hi W3W illogical.games.almost

with your back to the dunlop stand look to your left

you may even be lucky and get a beer 👍

A group of us from N.Ireland went to the 1st one (we had free tickets). I didnt stay over as I was meeting a mate over there for a run round Wales, however from what i saw it was a great event, very well organised & in a great location. The rest of the party who stayed had a great time.

Fortunately, a mate of mine took delivery on one of those on Monday. I'm hoping for a short ride on it in the near future :D

So you keep reminding us, at every end & turn about the Festival
You are incorrect
It’s multi national in visitors and the food isn’t burgers - again international cuisine is the order of the day
Don’t let your anti British biker prejudice….cloud your mind
Even your heroine, Noraly was there last year
