ABR Ireland weekend in Glengarriff, Co Cork

We just has a slice of carrot cake & coffee there, but the carrot cake was (as you would expect) 1st class

I had intended to head to Mayo for my last night, however the weather forecast was looking grim so decided to head for Carrick on Shannon instead.
A suitable brew stop along the way

Booked into the Bush Hotel just in time for the rain to start.

Monday & didn't have to book out of the hotel until midday - which was a godsend as it lashed down most of the morning.
Headed up the R280 to Manorhamilron and the R282, crossing the border and back into Northern Ireland at Garrison, Co Fermanagh.
From there it was on to Belleek, then Kesh, Drumquin, Newtownstewart. Gortin, Omagh, Beragh, Sixmilecross, Ballygawley, Aughnacloy, Caledon, Armagh, Tandragee & home.
I always pack a fishing rod with me, and after no luck in Wicklow, a couple of fish lost in Kerry, Co Tyrone delivered with two Brown Trout landed

A fitting end to a great weekend.

Great trip, TY for taking the time.
Garrison is where I stay whenever I head home and Kesh is one of the places I have family, did you do the scenic ride that takes you round the back of the village?

Is that the Crevenish that takes you to Castle Archdale? If so not this time, but have been on it in the past.

Thanks for the ride report and lovely photos. You did well for the weather 👍
