Someone has decided that it is a good Idea to hit the ABS2 motor with a hammer when it fails / warning lights come on

all this does is cracks the magnets in the motor and the unit is not repairable

So Stop doing this unless you want to buy a new unit

We repair them properly and improve on the design so that the fault does not come back

The ones we have repaired for the last two years / NONE have come back

call us for info / Bookings

Just how hard are people hitting them ... It's more a gentle tap than a hit :D.

Out of interest do you replace the cheap crap bearings that BMW use in the motor .. Bloody appalling quality. Had three disintegrate, my bearing man thinks they're originally for use in remote controlled cars at a cost of 50p each :D

Hi Neil

Yes we replace the bearing every time
I have had three cases now where the motor has been hit hard enough and the magnets have cracked , it then becomes a expensive paperweight

Cheers Steve

for the ABS2 repair we charge £320 inc vat with a 12 month warranty
we have been doing these for over two years now and none have had a fault

Oh god hammer porn, but there are a couple of imposters lurking on the fringes at the bottom, obviously trying to infiltrate this exclusive club (club! see what I did there?) :D

Yes that's bring the bike in and we remove / repair / replace etc ride away £320 inc vat

Steve

Hi Steve. Are you able to repair the early (2005) unit off a servo/abs model? I really hope so otherwise my bike is written off as I can't afford a new pump!

That bike if it cannot be fixed is ripe for a servoectomy. One thing for sure it's not a write off. If you think it is I'll gladly do you a favour and take it off your hands. I won't charge you a lot. JJH

This :agree

So is the servoectomy something I can get done easily? When coming to sell the bike, its not great having to say the brake failure lights been painted over! Is there a better way around that one? I don't have the time to do the operation so would need to find someone locally to do it.
