Anyone able to recommend a trusted non main dealer in the midlands, able to carry out diagnostics on the bloody ABS system. I've got the ABS warning light on. Brakes still work but not linked and no abs. 2007 GSA.

Cheers.

Steve.

First things to check are:
Fluid levels.
Limit switches, one on the front brake lever and one on the rear pedal.
Any one with a circuit tester (a bit of wire 2 crocodile clips and a bulb) can test this.
switches are NO normally on so the signal goes off when you work the lever.
Next thing is find someone with a GS911 near you.
You may find its just one of the switches needing ajustment

How far are you from Luton Steve? Motoscot are based there and Steve Grover has the GS911 for all the diagnostics.

is your front brake lever fouling the handguard.....? Can cause ABS non initialization and warning lights - worth a quick check as this is a relativly common occurrence.

And dead simple to fix :thumb2

Bob, thanks, I'm junction 18 M1 so not too far from Luton 11/10. I take it you have used them?

I have had a quick look at the bike but nothing is obvious. Will have a more thorough look and if not may take it down there.

Steve,

Steve Grover is highly recommended by many on UKGSer, including myself. He knows his stuff and is totally trustworthy.
