Hey All. I changed the battery in my '99 1100GS a couple weeks ago and ever since then the ABS has been malfunctioning: Lights flash normally when you turn the ignition on, when you pull away you can hear the normal self-test clank but it doesn't stop - just keeps clanking intermittently whilst the ABS lights continue to flash. If you turn off the ABS, everything is fine and it worked perfectly up until I did the battery change. Anybody got any ideas?

You need to do an abs reset, do a search on the site!

Take it along to Steptoe so he can read off the diagnostic fault code, but I'll put a small wager on there being a coincidental plunger fault that's surfaced at just the same time as you replaced the battery...

He's just had it to install my new brake lines :-)
Asked him in passing about it but we didn't pursue it.
Going to retest it all this weekend.
