Hi Folks,

I wonder if anyone can help ? I have done the relay upgrade to get
my ABS working correctly ie to stop lights flashing out of sync.

ABS-II Low Voltage Fault Modification is the correct term, which you end up with one light on then when pressing start button, the ABS is bypassed until
engine starts then the ABS self check takes place, works fine until I get speed upto
50 to 60 then the dreaded lights come on again out of sync !!

The ignition is turned off then the process repeated all is fine until the desired
speed is reached then back to square one out of sync ABS lights flash !!!

Regards Mack.....

Hi Folks,

Forgot to mention what bike :blast GS1100 1995 42,000 miles

The bike is fine as mentioned now upto 70 mph anything above that speed and

lights start to faze out of syc !! bit of a nuisance really .

I dont understand what you are trying to do, these lights are supopsed to go out when your under way and NOT stay on at all, Suggest you read the riders manual as this explains the various modes and reasons for the flashing lights.

Have you got alloys or spoked Wheels fitted?

Check your air gaps to the sensors and check that the surfaces of the abs rings are clean and not rusty

Other than that You need someone to read the fault code for you

Hi Jaythro,

As mine is a 95 bike my front ABS sensor seems to be locktight on

or bad steel to alloy corrosion, I do beleive that could be my problem !

I have checked the gap and it is very tight to get the feeler gauge in to the

supposed 0.50 gap .

As stated earlier why 70 and above then disco lights.

Regards Mack....

Because it needs the airgap to be above minimum so that it can distinguish Node from Antinode

If it's too close it can't function and sends a fault code Same happens if you have an excessively rusty surface

The cheapest option get a 2nd hand one from the Motorworks or whatever your preferred supplier is and carefully cut the alloy crap outside of the screw holes to relieve pressure on the old sensor and remove it.

Then clean the orifice well before fitting the new one with a smear of silicone sealant around it to prevent a further case of salt crud ingress.
