Not another hexhead abs thread 🤣🤣

Brushes stuck im my 07,have it apart and put a ford one in for the moment. Does anyone do a rebuilt kit for these like the bmw car ones or does anyone even have a website to buy the brushes from?

Thanks in advance gents

VW do a kit but its £500 - part of the resolution the court ordered to a class action lawsuit they lost - for using same junk spec as BMW - Ford ordered the correct specs on their modules

as most vehicles use the same junk, in countries that have a functioning legal system for the common man, these cases are all the rage

and I didn't mean this more recent VW one - https://www.claimdepot.com/settlements/volkswagen-group-of-america-inc-auto

We aren’t the USA and don’t do class action lawsuits.

That’s how our law works. You are on your own pal.

It can probably stay in more than "for the moment" :)

My electric ABS unit (2007 GSA non servo) was first serviced and fixed by a skilled mechanic. It then failed again many years and miles later and took it to myself (boredom) to fix it.
I couldn't find the Fiesta motor and used a BMW Series 1 model that seems very similar.

Been in there for years and many miles, not an issue.

I'd be interested to find a servicing kit too.
In the meantime I "stocked" on a few extra electric motors and added threaded holes (very shallow of course) to the ABS modulator unit so I can unscrew and screw back on the tabs that keep said motor in place on top of the unit.
