Anyone know the size of the O ring that seals the ABS sensor into the final drive?

Need to get one 1st thing tomorrow from an engineering merchant as my local 'stealer' is shut on Mondays and it won't be in stock anyway..

My seal gave way today and :barf oil eveywhere just after I'd changed it:blast

Surely they're a standard size?

Anyone?

Roger

.

November 2008 GSA, the facelift model with the LED indicators..

Why not buy a box of assorted metric 'o' rings, that's what we did, job done, we actually bought assorted imperial sizes as well, never not had what we needed since. I think both boxes were £15.

According to the online parts fiche, the late 2008 ones were part number

34 52 7 708 523 with a size 15X2
.. and they seem to be the current 2010-on size too.

The earlier ones (2005) were

07 11 9 905 198 with size 11.3X2.2

The first dimension usually refers to the inside diameter. You should be able to tell which one you have by looking at the sensor?

Went the screwfix route...

Big box of 500+ for £15.

One size 'fitted' ok and it's sealed. I even treated the drain plug to a new O ring:D

I seem to have a shed load of smaller ones so if anyone ever needs a small O ring or 10 let me know...

Thanks... Back on the road again..

Roger.
