As ossa say. On the old hexhead it did solve a few problems. Leave it disconnected for a few minutes. Don't forget to reset the TPS after reconnecting the battery.

ok i have taken off all the plastic and the ABS pump is making a ticking noise from inside. Is this normal? Battery disconnected did not make a difference.
I'm no expert in these things but it might be the ABS pump or some pressure sensor has departed. You should have the pump going when brake lever is squeezed. So you have full brake pressure applying the brakes but no ABS function, correct?
Last time i took bike into stealer for a faulty esa rear suspension, under warranty, dealer noted i changed oil and filter myself and was extremely rude, and I had to fork out 2000 sterling if i wanted a new shock. Got one on Ebay for 300 sterling and did it myself.. The apprentice couldn`t get his diagnostic kit to work. Standing watching the farce for over an hour. Its not like I can pop into a garage and ask dealer to plug his gizmo into bike and tell me whats wrong, Those days are gone. I have to make and appointment, leave bike with dealer all day then he tells me whats wrong 3 days later. These people have you by the short and curleys, at least they could be polite. I have ordered a gs911 fault tool. Should have no problem reselling to be frank. Apparently these ABS pumps are £2000 from BMW.....
Gs-911 arrived, and i checked fault codes, far too many to prove anything. cleared em all out and reset the abs pump, which appears to have worked correctly. Among all the logged faults i noticed front wheel sensor fault. So i span front wheel and could not see the speed on my iphone gs911 app. span rear wheel and this produced a speed. Will investigate front wheel sensor at the weekend , hopefully thats my issue. Big thumbs up to the gs-911
Thanks ossa eck, Thing is, i looked at the sensor a few weeks ago and it had definitely worn at the outer end, cant understand how this could be as there is nothing for it to touch to degrade. I presumed the outer plastic is just protection and this would not interfere with the sensor?
