I seemed to have the same problem as here with ABS not resetting and my ABS pump running after the ignition is switched off.

I needed to get the tank off to get to the relay but couldn't move the pipes so I took the opportunity to put some quick release valves on and finally I got to the situation below.

The blue thing on top is the relay I was sold so that's not right.

Anyway, I put it all back together as I couldn't replace the relay and lo and behold the pump did not come on! I assume I must have done something to unset the relay. Now I'll have to decide if I get a proper relay or risk leaving it as it is.

Now there is another problem. The bike is misfiring and only appears to fire on one cylinder which I would think must be related to the fuel pipes. Although I'm not sure what as the pipes appear to look OK and aren't leaking.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Dick

You have been sold the ABS relay, but the ABS relay that is located in the relay box, not the modulator relay. Thats why you can't fit it back together :D

And the starting problem - check your throttle cable is located correctly, usually becomes dislodged after removing/lifting the tank.

as in the picture

Thanks guys. I'll sort out another relay then.

The first thing I checked after the misfire was the throttle cables but they were both seated OK. I'll have another play with it today as I've got a new fuel filter to fit. I suppose it's possible that it may be a fuel issue as there is very little in the tank.

Thanks again.

Just had the tank on and off again and now bloody thing seems to be working..... :nenau

Thanks for your help chaps. :)
