After recently replacing the paralever bearings the rebuilt bike (2001 1150 Adv, ABS, non-servo) is constantly flashing ABS fault.

I made an indicator LED for the diagnostic connector and I'm getting 4 off pulses from pin 2 which I believe relates to the rear sensor.
The ABS will not reset with the Pin 2 to ground method some I can only surmise that the sensor has gone.

I've checked at the connector and I'm getting open circuit on the resistance - anyone know what the sensor spec should be & if there is any test method for the sensor itself?

Sensor has been cleaned, gap checked and nothing makes any difference, as it's not resetting I think it's a problem with the sensor rather then gap etc.

Any guidance gratefully accepted!

Apologies but this isn't a helpful reply - its honest, though :augie- I recently had issues with my ABS and servo ... solution was a couple of braided hoses and a complete bypass of the system, ala "normal" brakes - bike (2003 GS) feels much better for it!

I was a fan of the BMW ABS until I tried something a couple of years newer :eek

From Memory you should have a hgigh resistance of 750 to 900 ohms across the pins if you're getting open circuit you've nipped the wires somewhere

a second hand one from M works or the usual suspects should cure it

Are you sure the plugs are correctly seated?
