Sorry guys but ive spemt all day reading through the threds and tried every test but still no joy. I had ac kit 200 fiteed and zumo 550, i blue tooth my nokia 6021 and people can hear me no problem but I can just about make them out at very low speeds. Where the music is much louder but still crap, I hace checked all volumes as suggested and tested the mic it does filter the volume when I speak into it. I cant find anything else to try.

Any help gladly accepted,
using
Kit 200
zumo 550
kit 200 standard headset
nokia 6021
connected to aux1 but have tried other ports.

The all over volume is very poor and im guessing I will need some sort of booster

Cheers

Jim

Hi Jim,

Are the speakers positioned properly over your ears?
What cables are you using to connect the kit 200 with the Zumo.

Hi John, I got it fitted by the dealer and checked the cable part numbers this morning and all are correct, I think they where 1299 and 1138.

cheers for reply.

Jim

I had the same problem, I sent the autocom to GSrich who did something to boost the volume. Its now mucho improved.

Good service from Autocom:thumb2

GSRich are you out there

Looks like there are two of us that need you.//?????

I'm running an iPhone2 with my zumo 550 & autocom and I get very similar problems.

Audio from caller is very quiet even though zumo turned up to full, other audio (spoken instructions and music) all perfectly clear at 90mph (on a track :mmmm )

Audio from mic to caller is inaudable at anything above tickover, I actually pull over to receive calls!

Any help rich?

Steve

Sorry chaps for the delay ive been away eating too much and enjoying myself over the long weekend.

So then Jim which lead or connection are you actually running between the Zumo and your Active?

Welcome back Rich

Hi Rich, glad to hear someone had a nice weekend it has been grey and miserable here. Appreciate any help you can give with this,

Im using part 1299 from kit 200 and part 1138 from helmet. Also using aux1 on the ac.

cheers

J.

The part 1299 is not designed to be used via the aux 1 socket mate, it should be plugged into the AUX2 socket to allow for the correct set up. The music will only be in mono via the AUX1 also as it is the main phone socket your system.

So I would suggest you retry the lead into your AUX2 socket to see how you get on and get back to me either on here or email me at work.

Hi Rich still no joy

Hi Rich tried aux 2 and still no joy just sitting on the bike you cant hear the other person and if thats as loud as the music goes I fell I will definitely need some kind of booster. Any other suggestions would be great.

So then have you turned up the master volume on the Zumo as this is one of the most common problems with the low music levels. The other could be speaker positioning. Or vox levels being set too soft so the music is on a permenant mute as the mics are always live.

On the phone side of the set up as the AUX2 was mainly designed for music before the Zumo's were released there is a 50 muting feature everytime the mics are opened. This will mute the incoming phone volume which can make some call hard to be heard.

The muting side of your system can be altered as we offer a service for this but if the muting was to be removed this will also be for the music side of the Zumo so no muting on the music when you talk rider to pillion.

Hi Rich - muting service

Hi Rich sorry for the delay in getting back but its been a hectic week. Id be very interested in getting the muting sorted is it a procedure I could do myself - never have pillion riders so all im interested in is Phone conversations and music.

cheers buddy

Hi Jim,

No worries at all, muting wise it is something we normally carry out here due to how detailed the procedure is. It takes a very steady hand with a very fine tipped soldering iron.

Cheers
