access terminals on battery

I want to connect my Cigarette lighter socket plug (eyelets) to the battery (GSA..dunno if that makes a difference).
Looking at how it is recessed into the frame. Is there an easy
way to get access to the pos/neg terminals without creating havoc.

Well sort off. I've dropped the t-rex screw into the darkness, sitting somewhere on the exhaust, that will wait till tomorrow when I have natural light.
