I'm sure I read on here ages ago that a connector is available that piggy backs of the accessory socket to provide a neat supply for Autocom or whatever. I even seem to remember a part no. being quoted but I can't search anything up. I asked at the dealers but all they could find was the little sub loom for connecting an additional accessory socket. I know I could use this and simply snip off the extra plug and solder on the Autocom lead but was wondering if I have imagined the existance of a piggy back connector?

"C61.13.2.316.621" - it's actually an RT part so won't show listed in the GS section of the dealer's computer. Mine was £15.50 back in April.

It has 3 plugs - remove the plug to the back of the underseat power socket and insert the new mini-loom, then snip off the other plug to use as your power feed. IIRC check which wire is +ve with a meter because it's not obvious.

Thanks for that:thumb2

To answer my own question, the part required for newer bikes is: Cable 61 12 7 712 581. It's long enough to reach up to the front of the bike if you wanted to put another socket there but as my Autocom is mounted on the handbook holder I just shortened it up and crimped on a couple of connectors.

Here it is:
