Accessory socket polarity

Could someone tell me whether it is the 'pointy bit in the middle', or the 'other bit', on the plug that goes into the accessory socket that is 'positive' (+)?

Hope this makes sense as I don't know the technical terms!.

What I am doing is wiring a plug onto my heated gloves so that I can plug them in to the socket. They were previously hard wired to my Yamahas battery.
