Accessory Socket: What happened there then?

I recently had some power feeds taken off the back of the accessory socket for GPS and Autocom. Having now had this done when I plug in my Optimate I don't seem to get feedback (OK/charge required light) and therefore don't know whether it is charging or not.

I know the charger is OK as it works fine on the PD.

I know there are other places to take power feeds from so no suggestions about re-connecting through brake light etc.

Maybe the short lead that joins the new loom to the back of the socket is faulty........

If you plug something into the Socket, does it work?
