accessory socket

Can anyone confirm that the BMW accessory socket is live when the ignition is turned off? I am looking at getting a plug for my Optimate charger, if it is, to save taking the seat off to connect the crocodile clips every time.

Yes it is. I use mine to use pump / light / heater when ignition off.

The BMW socket is designed for what you describe.
