On a trip with 5 mates in June spending one night in Pau, One in the Pyrenees and two in Biarritz.

Any good hotels - B and B GEsers can recommend ?

Thanks

Paddy

I've stayed down there a couple of times but just stumbled upon hotels for one night each. St Jean de Luz is a decent town centre with plenty of restaurants, but I can't recall the name of the hotel we used. Can't actually remember the hotel, so it can't have been really good or really bad!

(On a different note, a group of us are coming to Chichester in early May and have to get lunch and spend an afternoon there. Where should we go in the town?)

May in Chichester.!

Well you could visit Goodwood race circuit. Or something different Tangmere aviation museum or try lunch at chichester harbour crown and anchor at Dell Quay is nice on a sunny day.

There is a start for you.

I'm writing this from Pau town centre whilst waiting for my wife to come back from shopping..ho hum...anyhooo...If you want a good place to eat in Pau..town centre Le Bureau or better still Le Berry will do a very good steak!(You'll need to get there early to get a seat)

As for hotels..it'll depend on your budget...top line hotel Parc Beaumont (not far from town centre)or town centre Hotel de Gramont..as reasonable as you'll get I guess. Failing that there's the Hotel Mercure and Formule 1 at the autoroute at exit 10. Further out though.

It's close to the Chateau and the small older quarter there is nice for food too.

:)
