I have spent the last hour googling.... can anyone recommend somewhere for 3 bikes to stay close to the beaches? ( 3 rooms needed 2 doubles and one single)

I'd like somewhere within walking distance of cafe's / restaurants... and close to the coast .. not a palace needed but nice would be good!

( Stayed at Maison Laudiere last year, lovely but I'd like somewhere nearer the coast this time)

Going for 3 nights in June ( 14-16 )

Heads up would be most apprciated :beerjug:

www.normandybeach.co.uk. Its in Arromache and I 100% recommend it.
Off road parking, tools available from the owner, a great breakfast and English spoken. It was hot when we arrived and the ice bucket was full of free beer to welcome us.

:agree

Adrian and Karen will look after you there. Have stayed there myself many times over the years. :thumb2

Have a look at hotel-du-6-juin in Sainte Mere Eglise if you have no other luck - about 100yrds off the main square where the church is.

Owners really nice. Basic (but perfectly acceptable cos you're not in during the day) when I stayed there, but looking at his website, it's had a makeover since.

Within reach of all the beaches & other sites, and walking around Sainte Mere Eglise around midnight was a bit spooky as it was dead quiet & you could just imagine what it was like on D-Day (also good museum there).

Thanks Steve :beerjug:

We'll be arriving on 14th June for the weekend.... I'll get in contact with you a little nearer the time.....

It will be good to at least have a meet up... and if it includes a few of the attractions all the better :beerjug:

Exactly. Our room was basic but adequate when we stayed there. The dingy corridor didn't give a good first impression, but the room was OK.

The wife wasn't impressed, but my 12yr old still reckons he had the most comfortable bed he's ever slept in. :thumb2
