My wife and I have have planned our grand tour (well, grand for us) but have yet to book a 2 night stay in this area (so we can sight see or chill for one day). We are open to where to stay. Maybe Como, or Lecco or even further out such as Bergamo. After visiting this area we are travelling onto Hotel Enzian in Landeck (as recommended by others).

Whilst we can continue to book with Google and the various hotel booking apps if there is someone with experience they would be willing to share it might ensure we get a better place stay. Thanks

Check out Gerrard Watts ride report from last year(iirc?)

I stayed here a few years back, just down the road from the Moto Guzzi factory

It’s very nice for 2 people, good home prepared food if you want to eat in, secure bike parking

I had a look, as considering N.Italy for next year. Seems they only accept bookings for at least 3 nights

If it’s not already booked, look at the wiesspitze hotel at Kaunertal valley. A bit further south. Same facilities but much nicer than the Enzian.

The Enzian does not have a whole lot going for it in the ‘scenic’ stakes.

Sorry, only just seen the messages. They have a room however its £250 for one night so its a bit pricey, about £90 more than Enzian

Is Hotel Enzian that bad?

No. It’s not bad, just no where near as good as the other. I surprised at the cost thought. We staped at weisspitze late June and it was a lot less than that.

I have used both Enzian & Weisseespitze.

I think the latter has different grades of room so probably only a posh suite left.

As for the Enzian, at least it is close to a town so you can eat elsewhere if desired. For a single night, it is better located for onward travel in multiple directions being at the nexus of a number of valleys draining into the River Inn.

Ive just looked at what I paid at the weisspitze in late June. £104 per night half board. I’m amazed at what you’re quoting.

Try Huonder House on booking .com . It's in lecco, secure parking, fantastic apartment, great hosts and walking distance to promenade/lake. Easy run to Mandello as well. Highly recommended.
