I'm putting together a trip through Germany, Czech Republic and Poland. - stopping a couple of days in Krakow area to do the usual etc.

I've got in mind returning by the overnight ferry from Gdynia to Karlkrona through southern Sweden and over to Denmark via the bridge. I'm looking for (inexpensive?) hotel accommodation for 1 night in the Denmark / Sewden area of the bridge. We'll be approx 15-17 folks with 12-14 bikes.

Anybody got any suggestions (suitable ones please :augie)

Both Denmark and Sweden are not cheap places to stay, but if you stay on the Swedish side then Malmo is a good spot. There is a Formule 1 hotel on the outskirts (next to a Macdonalds and a petrol station) which should be cheap and their are plenty of hotels in the centre but only a few have parking (I stay in the area for work so don't normally need parking).

It has a good selection of bars and restuarents in the old part of town.

I have stayed at all of the below and they are all good quality but not too pricey.

First Hotel Jorgen Koch
Comfort Hotel Malmo
Ramada Hotel Royal

Staying in Sweden/Denmark

Having worked on many projects in Sweden, I never found it expensive.
Just stayed in small "hotels" adjacent to main roads.

Always a lot cheaper than anywhere in England.

Denmark I have always found expensive. So much so that if I were in Copenhagen, I would normally stay in Ystad, Sweden, & take the train back & forth. (Only 15/20 mins to Copenhagen.) Trains are also cheap.

David / Myke,

Thanks for the pointers :clap - sounds like the sort of places I'm looking for :thumb2 .
