We now have the ferry booked and somewhere to stay (a friends' cottage south-ish of Dublin) for our first week, but we are looking for somewhere in the West-ish to base ourselves for days out exploring before we get to Tipperary.
Somewhere possibly with entertainment and eateries close by for the evenings. Won't mind if it's B&B or S/C, preferably with off-road parking for 2 outfits. It will be for two couples from 8th August for six nights (or even 2 X 3 nights) we're not into all the unpacking / packing of one night stands (or rather sleeps!!).
Talking with my travelling companions we were possibly thinking of maybe 8-10 August Galway-ish and 11-13 August Killarney-ish, of course everything is at the moment in the planning stage.
Any ideas / suggestions / recommendations for somewhere to stay? Any help would help, bought a couple of guides but there is nothing better than local-ish knowledge.
