ACE CAFE'S OVERLAND ADVENTURE DAY - Sunday 21st February

I was running real late after selling my R1200 panniers to GS-Elliott, met his mate Laurence (don't know his online tag)..which was nice as they cost me a small fortune. Glad to see them gone] Hope to have a ride-out in Yorkshire with both of them on this years AdamA rides.

Meet a few people @Ace-cafe, saw Greggers as he was leaving as I was arriving.. Nice chat with Puma, met Chad & a few others..

Bloody Klim kit was nice...also good to see the seriously expensive F800 expansion fuel tank (I really don't want one now I've seen it in person) from Touratech tent.

PS: Anyone notice the Cat from Red-dwarf? aka Danny John-Jules. :beerjug:

As Shadow says - there a guys in suits that are twats and then there are TWAT suited guys - either way we will all be there ....... just walk over and say hi ....

I'll be a red TWAT suited guy with 'The Tank' ...a rather big silver 1150 GS ADV ... :D

Hi Captain

Looked for red suit but didn't see you (different times maybe), and gutted to have missed the video episode. However after your screen debut I know what you look like now!

Looking around the bikes I need to get my bike off road and bashed about a bit more - looked far too clean next to some of the examples on display.

Catch you next time hopefully,

Well I'm not a good advert for adventure bikers, looked out the window p*****g down, got back in bed.
Anywhere else I would have gone, but the thought of the north circular did not appeal.
Sorry chaps let the side down :tears

I had a good day but had to get back as my pass was only stamped till noon....:blast

Good to see some old frends again that braved the wether, I think the winch on the Moto Guzzi will be the next must have item handy for pulling gsers out of ditches after comeing over black ice:comfort

Like you I feckin hate London, I dragged myself up to the ace once last year, what a shithole to get to.
What is all the fuss about:nenau, can't understand why anyone would want to ride there and be fecking freezing aswell.
Ok then who put their ally panniers on just to go the Ace with them empty. :thumb2

Yeah the Moto Guzzi was brilliant, never seen all these accessories on a bike, better than a fully loaded Touratech bike!!!
Came down quite late around 3:30pm, decided at the last minute after going to see the new Honda VFR in Chiswick :augie, nice bike btw!!!
Booked myself in for the Trans Asia trip with GlobeBusters in late 2012, 17 grand and 14 weeks, will talk to my boss tomorrow :aidan, and keep dreaming...

Hope to meet some of you in person next time! :thumb
