Does anyone know where I can get Acerbis Hand Guards to fit my 1100? They are the ones that bolt onto the bar ends and to the bars.

I really don`t like the standard ones and as I`m taking the old girl to sunnier climes, I don`t need all that plastic!

Have you tried Bert Harkins? Acerbis main dealer.
I can't remember where I got my guards for my Dakar from offhand, I'll try and dig out the invoice. Wherever it was it was about the cheapest place I could find.

I got a pair of hand guards from touratech for my 1100 they are like the ones above but in black with touratech logo across the front of each one-much better looking than the standard

Is it possible to remove the touratech logo?

as they're acerbis too.. whats the price difference with and without?

Touratech sells Acerbis Rallye handguards, with their logos glued on and adapters made to fit 1100/1150.

If you buy the Acerbis ones directly you need to make the adapters on both sides (two small metallic bits).

Which is relatively easy - I'm in the progress of doing them. Will let you know.

Thanks Margus

Ordered the Touratat ones and they will deliver tomorrow....

Did you get me a price for your rebuilt M94 or 97 gearbox?

Not selling one and don't know the price from WMB dealer too (anyways it's loads'o £££ for a brand new complete gearbox)...

Best buy it s/h from eBay or Sherlock/Motorworks UK who list used parts, I reckon around 450-650£ for a working s/h complete M97 gearbox unit what I've seen sold in eBay.

These look really good - I have standard BMW hand guards with Touratatt extenders on but don't feel that they really keep as much of the wind/rain off as they should.

Does anyone have any experience of the Touratatt handguards with extenders compared with these Acerbis ones? Thanks.

Acerbis spoilers are sold separately. Both for TT or Acerbis handguards. (they're both Acerbis anyway, one is just with "Touratech" written on it) :D
