Have a look at Bilt Hamber Dynax UC. Been using this recently on my cars think I'll use it on my bike next year.
ACF50 !00% I have used a few over the years to Combat corrosion and it sticks the pace much more than others too many to list but FS365 was supposed to be good as were some others I can;t remember now
FS365 is a water-based "lightweight" film for general use. Good if you don't like the look of dust and shit sticking to a thicker solution like ACF50.
To be honest - I've never seen the appeal of ACF50, as it is mostly paint you are protecting. I could understand it more - if it was bare alloy.
The other thing is - They recommend spraying the aerosol into a cup, then brushing it on? WTF? Why not just supply it in a pot?
The last time I used a heavy duty protective film on a GSA - I used a semi-clear, hard cavity wax. Left it on for 2 years, but when I cleaned it off before selling the bike - the bike was absolutely perfect.

Would that be a product similar to Waxoyl ?
I've just picked up a 2012 gsa and I can see the frame is already starting to show signs of commuting so want to nip it in the bud so to speak I guess the only way to do properly is powder coat the frame but involves a lot of work ?

Interesting test. I have always used ACF50 on my 1150GS and after 15 years and 116k miles there is virtually no corrosion on it (and what there is is on aftermarket parts fitted).
No - Waxoyl is soft. The stuff I used was a hard cavity wax. I'll search files later for name, but it's a whole heap cheaper than ACF50, and sprays on directly

I used to use scot oil fs365 and it worked ok till the authorities started to add something else to the road salt, after that the corrosion was quite evident
I now use Acf 50 and there is never any corrosion, expensive and a bit fiddly to put on as it "creeps" so you need to be very carefull around the brakes,
Tip if you are going to spray it on heat it up in a bucket of boiling water first it transforms it

I have a mate who will shortly be taking delivery of his third new water cooled GS after the previous two suffered corrosion to the engine, wheel hubs & frame despite the fact that both previous bikes were professionally ACF50'd from day one and never ridden on salty roads
I prefer to use and reapply FS365 after and between every wash. As a result I've only got a small (5p piece size) bit of corrosion to the rear edge of the offside cylinder barrel of my 6000 mile old LC GSA and none to my 57000 mile 06 model

ACF-50 seems to work well for me.
Agree with the heating the can before use, but also remember less is more, the first few times I used it far too thick and it attracted dust and dirt like nothing else :-(

I'm about to have the rear frame of my 19k miles 2014 LC GSA replaced under warranty because of corrosion all over it. It has had ACF50 oil applied regularly, but it wasn't enough to stop the corrosion.
I also have a pot of the ACF50 anti corrosion grease, and as an experiment while waiting for the frame to be replaced have wiped it over various parts of the frame. Water beads off those sections far more readily than the oil covered sections, suggesting it might be a more resilient alternative. Has anyone else used the grease on a more permanent basis?

Regardless of which protection product you use, it is still wise to wash the bike at least once a week and re-apply the product as you only need to miss a small part of the bike and the salt will start its evil work.
So a quick update guys and took the plunge and bought two bottles for £50 from m+p heated it up and applied with a small paint brush and think I may have put in too much so maybe a cloth to work into the metal work and keep the cloth for future use ?

No harm wiping it over with a cloth.. I use a paint brush to apply to the bits I can't reach so easily with a cloth .....it goes a long way
