Hi,

I'm after an idea as to how much ACF50 I need to do my 1150gsa. Can any one also recommend a good place to buy it and how much it's likely to cost?

Cheers.

Nippy normans... link on top of screen... usually. 1 Can will completely cover your bike...I even had enough left over to do the bicycle for winter riding!

A tip for the wheels and other awkward details that I picked up on here somewhere, spray some into the lid and use a small paintbrush to apply it to the wheels, pay special attention to where the spokes go through the rims and hubs.

Here is a good place

not bad for 907 grams and a proper despensor, a little goes a long way why spray it not on your bike :nenau :D clean lint free cloth, brush :D

aparently, alledgedly acording to ACF50 its good for the black plastic revival - luster, Oh and where rubber gloves it makes you r skin oilier than a oily thing

its good stuff :thumb

I just bought one of the quart bottles and refillable spray from an aviation supply store (after all it was invented for aircraft). Cheaper than most bike related suppliers.

I've just applied ACF50 to the green back end and all the shiny bits on my John Deere 6630 as I haven't got a navy helicopter.:augie

It's my 'fertiliser' tractor and gets covered in ammonium nitrate which is very corrosive if you don't wash it all off so it'll be interesting to see how it works out on the 'old Deere's arse' over the next few years.....:thumb

I've also used some ACF50 on my 'farm' Defender 90 although to be honest it should have been dipped in the stuff instead of Waxoil when it was new:blast

I'm also using it on my GSA30 and Mrs P's G650GS so we should be reasonably rust free over the winter although living on a farm which is adjacent to the North Sea may reduce the effectiveness of the aforementioned anti corrossive product.(sorry i've just been listening to 'Just a minute' on R4)

Well go out and buy one immediately - I thought you modern farmers were into all this aerial crop survey stuff ;)

Well it was (apparently) developed to protect carrier borne aircraft so it should hopefully cope with a bit of seaside exposure :D
