I bought a couple of cans of ACF50 anti corrosion spray aerosol.
I kept them in a warm cupboard befor using as suggested by few others.
When I used it I was expecting something similar to WD40 to come out from the can. Instead is something similar to a pink thick shaving foam.
Considering that my GS is too young to grow any hair what should I do with this foam? :tosser
Any suggestion?

I thought the same! I just sprayed it on them wiped excess off. It does creep into hidden places.

I bought some from a bike show thinking the same ,yuk :spitfire ,all the crap sticks to it, hope it works.

I hope it's OK to use on black engines, because I've just stripped down my RT and sprayed up the whole bloody lot  . Spray and brush into all the little nooks and grannies.

Smells nice, a bit like wax, but maybe I'm a bit odd! (I'll say it before anyone else does).

I sprayed some onto my GS silver engine a week or so ago, just a test area. It's collected some crap but has dried to a tacky finish like vaseline.

I reckon it'll do the job nicely over the winter. Better than the Scottoiler stuff that has to be reapplied every time the bike gets wet.

We use ACF-50 to protect our aeroplanes from saltwater corrosion and it works very well. So I tried it on my 1150 last winter and it's good stuff.

Theres no doubt its a good protectant, but Ive given up with it because its like baby oil (not that ive used that since the kids were little you understand - ahem) gets everywhere with that 'creep' (some might say good - but its just tooo creepy around brakes and tyres for my liking) and it dries off like grease with all manner of crap stuck to it - makes cleaning off a right b'stard.

Ill stick with WD40 / Scottoiler FS65 or whatever its called......

As John C says, spray it on a brush and keep it off the discs, it is good stuff, the salt just washes off.

Am I right in thinking that you don't need to keep reapplying it?

Is it just a case of washing the salt off it every time you can and reapply maybe just occasionally over the winter?

Just been to the garage to play with the winter bike. The Honda CB1 400 has endured the salt over the past week. The bolts that I failed to coat in ACF50 a few weeks ago were conspicuous by the tale tale white "frosting". Ended up getting carried away and removing the bolted on side covers and coating all and sundry with it.Took electrical connections apart, and coated them. In good nick anyway, not bad for an '89 bike. :bow Couldn't see the GS being that good :tosser Managed to spill some on the drive. "Mr Muscle" didn't touch it. but :thumb
